Hisham M. Eldeeb started as Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at Technical University Munich, working with Dr. Christoph M. Hackl, then continuing at Munich University of Applied Sciences, where Dr. Hackl accepted a post as full professor. His PhD research was about control of the electrical drive system for airborne wind energy systems. He was on several secondments to AWESCO industry partners Ampyx Power and EnerKíte to apply his research and further refine the control strategies. From 2012 to 2015, he worked as a research associate at Qatar University, hired on a 1.4 million dollar project, aiming at extending the penetration of inverter-based distributed-generation plants within the Qatari-Network. He is currently working as an electrical drive specialist and development engineer for e-vehicles at Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr GmbH (IAV) GmbH.
