Mark Schelbergen is PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology, working with Dr. Roland Schmehl. His research is about wind resource modeling for airborne wind energy and performance estimation of pumping kite power systems. His work is funded within the REACH project. Before starting his doctoral research he worked at We4Sea. For his graduation project he looked at the structural optimization of multi-megawatt, offshore vertical axis wind turbine rotors.
